Grassroots Suicide Prevention has a Youth Suicide Prevention Hub has lots of useful information and advice about how to help yourself or someone you know who’s in crisis. They include what signs to look for, how to talk to someone if you’re worried they may be thinking of taking their own life, and what to do in an emergency.

They also offer suicide prevention training for young people in schools and colleges.

Young Minds has useful information for young people about dealing with suicidal thoughts and feelings and for parents on how to talk to your child about suicidal thoughts.

Take a look at Reasons to Stay – a “suicide prevention website where anyone in the world can write a letter to someone thinking about suicide, giving them warmth, hope and connection. Anonymous letters are delivered at random when you visit the site and are all moderated by clinical volunteers.”

Sussex Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) has a selection of pre-recorded parent workshops that are filmed and recorded by CAMHS professionals across various areas of expertise.
