Work with us!

Make (Good) Trouble is invested in creating a better future for us all. We believe that young people are the foundation of that future. If we ignore or pay lip service to the current crisis in mental health and wellbeing in young people, we are putting that future in jeopardy.

We work with young people to co-produce content, to evaluate programmes and projects, to carry out research into young audiences. Our aim for every project is to help us to better understand the needs of children and young people. Every programme we develop helps to create a better supportive framework for them, their families and the communities they live in.

We are looking for people and organisations to collaborate with on new and current initiatives – if you want to partner with us, or fund or donate to our programmes, get in touch by emailing our co-founder, tayler@makegoodtrouble.co.uk.

Together we can make a difference.

Take a closer look at a few of the things we do

🎙️Podcasts and radio
BBC Raising Teens is a warm-hearted and honest round-table discussion about parenting teenagers and teen mental health. It includes teens’ own stories gathered by Make (Good) Trouble’s young reporter Lola Ray. These teen stories are surprising, thought provoking and often delightful. The show aims to bring those involved in raising teens together to dispel myths around teen mental health and offer practical help and tips. Previous series have been supported by NHS Sussex, Public Health, and Sussex Police  We’re currently looking for a partner and funding for the next series of Raising Teens and a new podcast series aimed at young people.

✍🏽 Youth led research and evaluation
We believe that young people’s active participation in the design and process of research offers greater insights and deeper engagement, resulting in programme outcomes that are more effective and better focused on young people’s, families’, and communities’ needs. Our approach to research is focused on actively listening to the voices of those involved in any programme or intervention. We believe that young people engage more positively with their peers, and therefore draw out higher quality data and insights from our research. If you’d like to know more about how we can help you evaluate your programme, carry out focus groups or research, get in touch.

🎬 Film-making
If you’re interested in us making a film about your organisation, a project, or the work you do, we can help. Find out more here.

Art workshops
Make (Good) Trouble has a strong network in the arts and works with local artists across Sussex and beyond to develop workshops to benefit young people’s mental health. Take a look at our Catalyst Programme which gives young people the opportunity to work with artists, photographers, dramatists, film makers, and sound designers, helping them to improve their wellbeing and employment prospects, as well as combat loneliness. If you’re interested in discussing how we can develop a programme for your organisation, get in touch.

Developing PSHE-accredited lesson plans
We can support your organisation to develop lesson plans for schools with PSHE accreditation. Take a look at our work with the University of Sussex’s kindness project, The Rez.
