Workshops that build confidence, creativity & communication

At Make (Good) Trouble, our workshops are designed to build real-world skills, unlock creative potential, and give young people the confidence to speak up, step forward, and lead.

From podcasting to public speaking, drama to digital storytelling — our sessions are led by professionalsco-created with young people, and always rooted in confidence, communication and connection.

🎨 Creative workshops

Art. Film. Photography. Podcasting. Performance.
Our creative workshops bring in professional artists and facilitators to help young people explore different ways of expressing themselves and telling their stories.

These hands-on sessions teach technical skills — but they’re about more than just tools. They’re about unlocking voice, identity and purpose through creativity.

Participants learn to:

  • Create films, podcasts or photo stories
  • Work collaboratively on performances or installations
  • Explore social issues through visual and performing arts
  • Share their work with confidence

Perfect for schools, youth hubs, and organisations looking to engage young people in powerful, purposeful creativity.

🗣️ Public speaking workshops

Find your voice — and use it with impact.

In this energising, youth-led session, we support young people to develop their public speaking and presentation skills in a safe, supportive space.

We help participants to:

  • Speak with clarity, confidence and authenticity
  • Structure ideas for maximum impact
  • Tackle nerves and stage fright
  • Understand tone, body language and audience engagement
  • Deliver talks, pitches or performances with pride

Whether it’s speaking in assembly, delivering a pitch, or standing up for something they believe in — this workshop equips young people to step forward and be heard.

A great fit for schools, student leadership teams, youth councils and social action programmes.

🎤 Interview skills training

Helping young people walk into any room — and own it.

This workshop is all about building social confidence and communication in a world where face-to-face interaction is more important than ever.

Run by skilled facilitators, the session focuses on:

  • Preparing for high-pressure conversations
  • Overcoming nerves and managing anxiety
  • Active listening and showing empathy
  • Asking open, meaningful questions
  • Making a strong, authentic impression

Did you know?
42% of parents of 12–15 year-olds report a decline in their child’s social and emotional development — rising to 52% for ages 4–7 (IFS, 2023).

We’re here to change that — and help young people get ahead of the curve in a world increasingly shaped by soft skills.

Ideal for schools, employability programmes, youth justice initiatives and life skills development.

🎭 Confidence & teamwork through drama

Led by a professional drama coach, this workshop is a safe, energetic space for young people to:

  • Build self-confidence through improvisation and performance
  • Strengthen communication and teamwork
  • Develop resilience and presence
  • Feel comfortable in front of others — and in their own skin

This isn’t about creating actors — it’s about helping young people feel seen, supported and strong in any situation.

Drama is the method — but confidence is the outcome.
